Fix Slope: Not Loading, Lag, or Black Screen
Fast checks first, then deeper fixes if the game still won’t run.
Quick fixes (try these first)
- Refresh the tab and wait 10–20 seconds for assets to load.
- Open an Incognito/Private window to rule out cache issues.
- Disable extensions (especially ad blockers/script blockers) and reload.
- Clear site data (cache/cookies) for the portal, then reload.
- Try another browser (Chrome / Edge / Firefox).
- Ensure Hardware Acceleration is enabled in browser settings.
Common issues reported by players
- ball falls through the track / physics glitch -> usually caused by severe frame drops; ensure 'Hardware Acceleration' is enabled in your browser settings
- keyboard input delayed -> click directly in the center of the game window to ensure the browser has it in focus
- high score lost after closing tab -> web portals save high scores in your local browser cache; do not clear site data if you want to keep your record
- stuttering at extremely high speeds -> close heavy background tabs/downloads to free up RAM and CPU
- black screen on load -> WebGL memory issue; refresh the page, try an Incognito window, or disable ad-blockers

Why am I getting a black screen when loading?
Heavy 3D browser games can hit memory limits. Try refreshing the page, disabling ad-blocking extensions, or updating your graphics drivers.
Does Slope work on Chromebook or mobile?
It runs perfectly on Chromebooks if hardware acceleration is on. Mobile support is very limited in the web version, as the game requires precise keyboard inputs.
